The Digital Frog update, had a slew of
ideas for improvements: a truly interactive dissection allowing
students to make the cuts themselves, an expanded anatomy
section, full-screen video of the entire dissection, more
interactive activities, definitions for virtually every word,
easier navigation.
For those who've used The Digital Frog, you'll find all the
award-winning content of the first version, but a lot more.
Below are just six of the dozens of changes and improvements
that we have introduced to make the most comprehensive frog
dissection, anatomy and ecology CD-ROM even better.

Interactive
dissections
While the original Digital Frog led users through every step of
a complete frog dissection, The Digital Frog 2 also allows
students to perform each of the cuts themselves, to reinforce
how an actual dissection is done. |
Improved,
full-screen videos
All of the videos in The Digital Frog 2 have been re-shot,
re-edited and re-compressed. And for the first time in a Digital
Frog product, users can view full-screen videos. |

Definitions
and pronunciations
If you come across a word you don't understand, you are only a
click away from a definition. Virtually every word--more than
3000 in total--has been defined. Most of the scientific words
also have spoken pronunciations. |
Improved
navigation
The Digital Frog 2 is also easier to use. You can get to the
screen you're looking for using menus, a handy map or by typing
in the subject using our new Find feature. Plus you can also add
bookmarks for screens you want to return to later. |

Comparative
anatomy
As part of the expanded anatomy section, students can easily
find out how frogs compare to humans. This helps highlight the
differences, as well as the similarities, between frogs and
themselves. |
Cool
animations
Several of the talented members of Team DFI have produced new
animations to help illustrate how the frog's body works--from
blood pumping through a heart to joints that can be manipulated
by the user. |
